【文讀】writing assignment #3 (deadline: 12/8, 12 p.m.)

In Kate Chopin's "The Story of an Hour" (1894), Mrs. Mallard received two shocking news within an hour. The first news revived her, while the second news killed her. This famous short story expresses Chopin's dissatisfaction regarding women's roles in marriages and their desire to break free from the patriarchal restriction and oppression. Love, for Mrs. Mallard, is in fact a violence in disguise because it is carried out by "imposing a private will upon a fellow-creature." Nobody understood her; they thought she was all right; they thought her sorrows were ordinary ones. What is even worse is that everybody misunderstood the cause of her death. They believed that she died from the joy of seeing her husband; only we readers know that she died from the grief of losing what she thought she might have had.

If Mrs. Mallard's husband were dead and she had opportunities to realize her dreams, what would her dreams be? Write a creative essay imagining the future of Mrs. Mallard as a widow.

If Mrs. Mallard was a widow, I think she would start to live for her own. There wouldn’t have anything to stop her doing the things that she likes. In paragraph 19, Kate Chopin mentioned that Mrs. Mallard’s truly feelings, like Spring days and Summer days, and all sorts of days that would be her own. It means that she wouldn’t have to live for someone else.

She would travel all over the world in order to know other culture; she may go to the university in order to learn more knowledge; she may find someone who really treat her well and she can share all her moods to him without any hiding; she may encourage women like her to divorce, because she gets freedom after her husband dead.

I think Mr.s Mallard would keep single in her future life. She would find the women who were also widows and established a Widowed Organization where the widows lived together. Mr.s Mallard accepted the widows whoever their husbands died or divorced. They had the same faith that single was better than marriage. In this organization, they were like a big family and helped each other to achieve their own dreams. Mr.s Mallard’s dream was having a child, so she adopted a girl from an orphanage. The girl had many mothers because she was grown up in the big family. Everyone treated her very well and gave her the best education. And they told her that you should study hard than men and not depend on men. Otherwise, you would be bound by men. After ten years, the girl became a prominent doctor and fell in love with her workmate. The girl didn’t listen the advice of her mother, married her lover. Unexpectedly, the marriage wasn’t lasting. Her husband abused her because her position was higher than him. The girl couldn’t endure any more so she divorced. Finally, she came back to the Widowed Organization, living happy single life with her mother.

I consider that if Mrs. Mallard 's husband were dead, and she became a widow, here is the beginning of her own life. Maybe the past years she devoted her everything for her husband. Only the reader known Mrs. Mallard`s real thoughts. The story was written by 1894, in that era, women was just a appendant for men. They always couldn`t express thire real opinions.

But now, let us assume a situation that Mrs. Mallard was a widow. I think her first step is to move out of the country and go to a place where nobody knew her. She could start a new life without any gossip about her. Knowledge for her must be important. So does the freedom. She could do everything she wanted. When she got free, she would live for herself. We could see freedom for her is how important by the sentence:"Spring days, and summer days, and all sorts of days that would be her own."

If Mrs. Mallard's husband were dead and she had opportunities to realize her dreams, I think that she would not get married again and she might become a feminist. In the story, she was so eager to be free, but she couldn’t say it out loud. “There would be no one to live for her during those coming years; she would live for herself.” Therefore, she might live alone in rest of her life, and lived for others no longer. In addition, because of what she had suffered in marriage, she might realize that women shouldn’t be oppressed by men and the society any more. Women shouldn’t only have one choice, being a housekeeper. Although the society at that time was very conservative, she should tell the idea to other women, who lived just like she was. Mrs. Mallard might go to study something about independent individual, and write some works about feminist consciousness to let the world know that women should have right to choose their own life paths. Marriage shouldn’t be their necessary fates. Being a widow is not a sad thing for Mrs. Mallard, because she could go to see the world and learn new things without any apprehension. After getting freedom, she would use her precious time properly. For her, life became hopeful and beautiful.

If Mrs. Mallard's husband were dead and she had opportunities to realize her dreams, I think she won’t marry again. Marriage is a big cage to her. She can’t do anything but housework. That is not fair to every woman. Every woman has the right to against their husbands’ restriction. In this way, I consider that she would go to college to broaden her horizons and get knowledge. Because her heart disease, she cannot travel always but maybe once a year. Maybe she will keep a cat or dog. She can have many step children. She can go to find a work and live independently. After she learns a lot, she may start to give a course to those women who cannot study, and teach them that women are not accessories to men. She is free; she can do whatever she wants. That’s all!

Hello, professor Hsu, I am Daphnie Lin(49801023). Here is my answer to the question.
Based on the year of publishing, I don't think that women had the right to decide her own fate after her “master in the social system”, husband, died.
What is women’s chance to identify her value in nineteen century? Certainly, women as the additional role to men, marriage is the only way out to be in the normal people. In western culture, there is no insistence similar to Chinese staying as a widow. Not mentioned in nineteen century. A woman can probably fit into the society by her marriage. Kate Chopin didn’t put too much emphasis on the how Mrs. Mallard expressing her mental dimension. But the description of the setting did. “There stood, facing the open window, a comfortable, roomy armchair”. Another novel published in nineteen century, “Vanity Fair,” describing a woman’s willing to do anything intending to be accepted in the so-called “upper class,” conveying the similar background idea. Woman needs marriage to proof to be alive. I think if Mr. Mallard were dead instead of misunderstanding, Mrs. Mallard will choose to marry to someone whose family is more distinguish, eminent, or famous. Though Mrs. Mallard got more dreams than marring, she can’t escape from the conventional reality.

The future of Mrs. Mallard as a widow is the most wonderful condition. Once she the fact that her husband, Brently Mallard, was dead is true, she could inherit all of her husband’s possessions. With money, she could do everything she wanted. In order to forget his husband completely, the first thing she had to do is change her husband’s last name back to original one. This action might cause large criticizes, but she didn’t care at all.
The new name made her return single again, which means she could lead a new a life from then on. She could decide what time she would get up and choose what kind of breakfast she liked to eat instead of following her dead husband’s requirements. After she enjoyed her own breakfast, she had many choices to choose not just house work. Maybe she could stay home reading her favorite books which he barely read as a result of her family or go out with her friends to do some outdoor activities like going mountain climbing and having tea time.
Without being chained by family, she could go home late or even not go back. Her life at night would be colorful than ever. Sometimes, she probably felt alone without a man, but this time all of men in her society could console her lonely heart.
If her neighbors didn’t agree what she did, she just sold out her possessions and moved to a new place. There are so many women longer to have such a free life like her. Mrs. Mallard was a lucky woman to re-choose the latter half of her life. No matter what she chose, it must be the happiest one, I thought.

If Mrs. Mallard's husband were dead, I think she would remain single and started to travel around the world. I think the part of traveling will take her about five to ten years or maybe the whole life. Then she would stat to write the book about her traveling. When she became freedom the most important thing she wanted to do is telling every woman that they don’t have to live under their husbands’ authority. She would promote the idea that women and men should have equal rights. She would tell women that they don’t have to rely on their husband, and encouraged women to go to school and find a job. She would say to women that,” You have to be financially independent!” Only become a financially independent that women don’t have to rely on their husbands. And she would also say,” If your husband treat you bad, you can divorce with him.” She would tell women that they always have their own decision to anything instead of being controlled by somebody. She would devote herself to fight for women’s rights. Even though it’s very tough but she would insist to realize her dream.

In The Story of an Hour, Mrs. Mallard has longed to be free for a long time. So I think she must have something wanted to do in her dream. As my thought, she may go for education and learn for literature, philosophy or something else that able to enhance her conscious. In the story, no one really understands her real feelings. So she may want to be a writer, therefore she can express her true feelings by writing articles, novels or poems. Or she would like to be a teacher. Because I think she must be a thoughtful woman, and she can spread her thought by teaching others. She may also deal with business since she has full of thought. She needs the career of her own.
But most important of all, I think she won’t get married once more. Because she prefers to be free, rather than being controlled by a husband. So she would not yearn for marriage any more.

If Mrs. Mallard is a widow, I think the first thing she will do is leaving this place. She will inherit her husband’s bequest and she will use the money to travel all over the world. She will also buy a villa for herself and keep a cat to company her. She won’t get married again; neither will she adopt a child. It is because she doesn’t want to be confined by family again. However, after few years past, she feels boring to be a woman because woman always be confined by society. Therefore, she wants to change her sex to be a man. She wants to experience men’s social lives and she enjoys her change. It is because no woman like her can experience two different genders in the life.

If her husband died and she became a widow, I think her dream will be to be a bird. In the century that she lived, the women were considered that they should stay at home and be a woman who must obey her husband. Thus, if they really have their own thoughts, they would pretend nothing. Mrs. Mallard's dream are free to go anywhere and do anything that she wants to do. Not being controlled by everyone or everything.
She will fly around the whole world, including the North Pole and South Pole. She meets different people , learns the varied cultures and how to socialize with others. In the past, the person she only needed to face was her husband. She only belonged to the house that she lived with her husband. Being dissimilar to the past, she meets many people and shares her own true feeling to them. If she feels tired, she will stay at the dried-up sticks and wait for the sunrise to keep flying. One day, she saw a woman worrying about something. Then, she asked her “ What are you bothering about?” The woman answered “ I want to be free.” Mrs. Mallard told her “ Yes, you can. Just be brave enough. Protest against the things that you don’t like.” After saying that, she departed from there and left a feather. Nobody knows where she is going. Maybe she just kept flying around the world to let the women know they don’t need to yield to their husbands. And maybe you see her one day.

From the story, we can simply tell Mrs. Mallard’s ecstasy of being free. Without her husband’s existence, everything seemed to be different. She was held by monstrous joy in paragraph 12. The word”freedom” made her pulse so fast as if she has obtained an entirely new life. The ecstasy activated every cell, pore, and even blood vessel in Mrs. Mallard’s body.
As her husband no longer exists, she can live a life that she herself being the protagonist. First, suppose she can, she can inherit her husband’s heritage. Then she can purchase whatever she wants; she can flirt with any guy since she is a single woman at present; she can go to school for further study because she now has plenty of time. She can even write a book about how she feels after her husband’s death and the feeling of being free; she can use the money her husband left to find ways to make her heart disease better than before. She can even open a store of her own! With money she can travel abroad and maybe encounter a foreign romance. In her future life there’s never going to be a burden of marriage. And I think that’s the best ending among all of other possibilities.

This is my response.

As Mrs. Mallard, she started to weep all the time until stopped crying, and then wrote a note:

“I am very sad because my husband left; but I know that Life is short, and the happy moments in Life happen only briefly. My husband in future world will be in great prospects, and I will pray for him.
From now on, I will throw everything away, concentrating on practicing Buddhist rules.”

Then, she smiled happily and confidently, received the tonsure.

Good evening, professor Hsu. I’m Edson, 49902043.
The following words are my article about this essay.

If Mrs. Mallard’s husband were actually dead, she might feel great joyful at first time, because she broke through the jail of the traditional responsibility to her husband. But after she had enjoyed her wonderful life without her husband for a little while, she would receive a lot of pressure about people suggest her that to merry to another man or not to hang out with any other men. She indeed had escape her husband, however, she definitely would be overwhelmed by many pieces of suggestions from other people (especially from her husband’s family) to tell her to do this or not to do this.
She even couldn’t have a more free life than her past. In the past, she might go to outdoor with her husband, but now, she may be asked to stay home and just have a cherish the memory of her husband.
When Mrs. Mallard faced to her female friends, they might compare to each other with their marriage life, she couldn’t join their topic!
Although she could actually had a joy mood at the moment when she realized her husband’s death, but in that traditional society, women might not feel happy when they considered they’re widows. Unless the society could regard an independent woman as a good choice, Mrs. Mallard’s single dream won’t be tasty.

I think if Mrs.Mallard was a window, she would try everything she wanted to do and didn't need to think about another people. She would take a long trip from country to country, and keep all memories in notebooks. After she backed home she could try painting,fencing....etc.everything she wanted. She belonged herself.

And she choiced a little and cute girl to live with her. She taught the girl that how women need to think more for themselve and shared her every joyful memories in her life. Finally before she left this world, she could say loudly"I am free."

When Mrs. Mallard heard that her husband was dead, she grieved and mourned for a moment. And suddenly, she smiled and tittered to go to her bedroom. What did she want to do?She quickly packed her luggage. Why?She was eager to leave this house and was afraid that the news was faked. So she left the house at midnight without anyone knew. She wanted to go to adventure wherever. When she arrived at the train station, she surprised to bump into her elementary classmate, Cathy, who always quarreled with her no matter what. Both of them were astonished and fought with each other again. Abruptly, they found that their encounter was the same. So Cathy became her partner of the adventure. For a long time, they went to many dangerous place and confronted many problems. They went to the forest and got lost there. They also went to the desert and had no water and no food for seven days. And in the grassland, they were chased by animals, such as lions, tigers, zebras, etc. During the trip, they felt horrible but excited. This experience made both of them feel more confident and free. Eventually, they came true their dream and did themselves.

If Mrs. Mallard's husband were dead, I think her would sell all the inheritance and leave the place she lived. She would begin a whole new life in a place where no one knew her. Maybe she would go travel twice a year and make a living by her.
She would remain single unless she met a man that really understood her. Her life would be simple. All days were hers. No one could stop her to do what she liked.

She would have a house with many colorful flowers around it, just like spring. Telling women to live for themselves would be her job. Her life would still be plain; the only difference was that she lived her own life, not under any impulse by her husband. She could study, learning more new knowledge. Maybe she would become a professor!

Not being Mrs. Mallard, she was a totally free woman. She belonged to herself, controlling all things in her life. Even if she got married again, I think she would keep her original last name.

No matter what happened to her, she would face the reality by herself. It was her life. Her choices decided everything.

Hi, professor. I am Yan (49644071).
In the beginning, Mrs. Mallard was surely not sad for her marriage’s condition. While her husband was dead and she became a widow, she would be tearful and was sorrow for a temporary time. After a brief time, Miss. Mallard was joy because she relieved from social traditional ideas. That is to say, she could not care about what other people’s opinion on her and could have a new life opposite to what she had before. In the past, she had a normal life and always did routine work which made her feel boring, and then she could enjoy single life. Miss. Mallard will dress her formal clothes and went to party, danced with handsome gentleman and had a good time. After a lot of funning things, she will find this was the very life she wanted instead of marriage. She could travel to a lot of countries to fulfill the dream what she did not complete before, tasting whatever the food she wanted, sleeping all the days without doing any housework. Finally, she felt lonely; at the same time she accidentally met her mister right and fell in love again. They get married and the similar story happened again.

Since Ms. Mallard is no longer restricted by the marriage, she decides to invite her best three girl friends to stay at her house. They quite enjoy the time spending together without their husbands, and they plan to have a trip to Taiwan. So, they pack as soon as possible and set off to their destination by Eva Airlines. Not until they arrived in Taiwan do they realize how much they love Taiwan and everything about it. Four women go shopping, sight seeing, and eating around. A month passes, they find out that they don’t want to go back at all. As a result, they decide to dwell in Taiwan for the rest of their lives. All of Ms. Mallard’s friends are going to stay in Hualien which is a wonderful city with magnificent scenery and nice people, but Ms. Mallard has a different thought. She manages a night club which is only women allowed in Taipei City, and now is quite popular among females. Ms. Mallard and her friends are so grateful to her husband’s death so that they can have a chance to live in such a wonderful place they’ve never been to.

If Mrs.Mallard was a widow, I think she would enjoy the live of being alone, for example: recognize many news friends and spend lots of money on travling, playing and enjoying life. Altough the live was freeer than before. In fact, few year later, Mrs.Mallard felt something wrong. Her live was lack of love. Therefore, she started to be a volunteer to take care of children. It is cotradiction that she loved his husband, on the other hand she wanted to be free.
The reason why I think Mrs.Mallard would be a volunteer few years later is when she saw the smiling faces on children's face. She would forget the sorrow that lose her husband and get the love, happiness and enegtic from children. Finally she was ordinary and felt contented till her died.

But at first, her parents may ask her to find the other guy to get married, and introduce her men again and again. When she thinks about the life of patriarchal restriction and oppression she had before, she considers that she can not start the other marriage anymore. Under this thought, she can’t bear the stress under her parents, so she decides to flee to countryside, where doesn’t anybody know her.

She teaches local children and also adopts a kid from orphanage. She lives peaceful days with her kid for few years until her parents find her and want her back. She has a struggle in her mind. Finally her parents guarantee that they will not interfere her privacy life. At last, she comes back and lives with her parents, but she can never remove the tragic memories she had before.

And then she would go to school to be educated because education can make a man have much sense. Then she would write some commentaries on men domination to newspaper to disseminate the concept. After few months, she may found a center for prevention of domestic violence. Especially, the center helps not only for physiological hurt but psychologic hurt. She insists on releasing women form men thought she might be prevented by men in the time. After the center is stable, she would travel around the world on her own, that’s the best way to enjoy her widowed life and traveling around the world could disseminate her idea. One day while she goes to French she meets a couple who is young and approves her idea. They have the same idea and become very good friend. After her died, the young couple marries and has a baby named Simone de Beauvoir. They educate her fully, teach her to have her own think and against men domination. When Simone de Beauvoir grows up, she writes a book named “Second Sex” and become a famous feminism movement pioneer.

If Mrs. Mallard became a widow. I think she will spend her remaining life time to persuade her dream and she will never marry again. She just like a freedom bird fly away from the social cage. From now on, she could do anything that she never used to think before. However, she still need to against the whole society which see her as an alien. How could she fight for her freedom? She decided to writing, using the power of words. Therefore, she became a professional Women’s right writer in the 19th century. It was a most powerful method to face the conventional reality. She didn't know someone else were really care about her. But she knew that her thoughts of her husband dead was unmorality. That's the point that i think Mrs.Mallard was cunning lady.

If she didn't die, i think she will become one of the members whose spread the feminism. When she was engaging in the feminism social group, simultaneously, may be she could feel that her impressions to men were just the form that the society done! Not every men want to control their wife. So she don't want to stereotype men anymore and her illness was healed.
At last, she realized that "Everyone has the human rights. You just need to find it from each of your heart!"

In my personal opinion, I think the husband would be very sorrow. The woman he thought didn't love him deep down in her heart. His wife cried 'free' after she knew he was dead. I think their marriage might be bad. The wife didn't enjoy but suffer from the marriage.

The writer didn't point out the wife's joy directly. She used the word 'free' to respenct the feeling of the wife. However, the writer might want to express that women have low social position during the time. The wife was too happy to cause her death because her heart disease. The writer might want to tell everyone that women didn't have the right to be themselves during the time, not even thinking.

If Mrs. Mallard is a widow, I think she will be a bird which can fly anywhere. But I think she will be hard to live with herself at beginning since she was used to living with her husband as a bird in a coop; thus, when she is a widow at beginning, she will feel confused on her life and won’t understand how to do for herself or what she need to do. However, when she enjoys her life, I believe she will make her life colorful, because women were bound to their husbands in her century and they had no privilege to decide anything. Moreover, she won’t get married again for she wants to have her own freedom. Maybe she will overthrow this century to be superwoman and help women who can’t have their privileges. Therefore, I think she will be an empress as Elizabeth.

In my opinion, I think that Mrs. Mallard would live a much happier life than before. Because she didn’t love her husband from the bottom of her heart, she couldn’t live a happy life. She was oppressed by Mr. Mallard so after her husband’s death, she didn’t feel sorrow but free. After she becomes the widow now, she can do everything she feel interested in and she need not to care her family. From this time, as if she gained new life after the accident. She can make her dying dream come true as well as retrieve favorite thing that was abandoned after marriage.

The story is very classical in the 19th century. In this time, women are always oppressed by society. It is not equal between men and women. Men can make decision to all affairs, whereas, women must follow it. They don’t have enough right to decide things like political campaign and they also can’t choose their husband because their parents often make decisions secretly. It is very ridiculous in the modern society.

I think if Mrs. Mallard was a widow, she would pursue the dreams she had before, in the paragraph, she once said: free! Body and soul free! From here we can tell that she had been tie up by her husband for a long time, so she must be anxious for freedom.
She might use her husband's legacy to buy what ever she want, travel where ever she want, and maybe spend some time with her friends, families, then, after a while, she might met someone, someone who will not limit her freedom, someone really suit her, she will do her best to go after a romantic relationship, then, she will married again, but this time in a better way, and lived with her husband happily ever after.

If Mrs. Mallard's husband were dead and she had opportunities to realize her dreams, she would be free and she could hang out with her friends all day long without her husband’s permission. If her husband left enough inheritance, she could sell the house and go travel around the world. She could party all night and start seeing new guys if she wanted. Furthermore, she could even started her own business and do some investment.(I suggest her to open a luxury department store or a five star hotel ) Besides, Mrs. Mallard could take class like painting, creative writing, which can give her a way to express her feelings.

If Mrs. Mallard was a window, she would start to plan what she wants to do and where she wants to go. Surly she might shows her grief and accepts other people's concerns. But she would not tell them what she was going to do. She might make an excuse that could let her go between city and city. She would spend her time in art. She might meet a person who was her soul mate. But she would not marry again. They might live together and have no related in law. Her family would never know what she did before her dead.

Hi, professor. I am Jim. I think that if Mrs. Mallard's husband were dead and she had opportunities to realize her dreams, she will have fun all day. She will join the party and dance every night. Maybe, she will persuade these women like her who live in his husband’ control and feel boring in live. She will persuade them that have fun with her and don’t care their husbands. She will tell them that they just live own live.

But doing this maybe can make their husbands feel angry and they maybe will attack Mrs. Mallard. Therefore, she will organize a female organization to protect herself. Then, this organization will become bigger and stronger. This organization will become a global organization and announce for global women. And Mrs. Mallard become famous. Her name will be recorded on history.

My name is Sherry (49902011), here are my thoughts.
Mrs. Mallard was like a bird caged by the demands of the social stereotype and her husband’s expectations of how a house wife should be. Now that she is finally free to pursue any interest as she pleases, I would imagine that there would be changes in not only her surroundings but also her personality.
For her surroundings he may make new arrangement for the house. Take the furnishing or example; she can get rid of her husband’s things and buy new ones that she favors. Then house is finally all to herself now, she can feel relaxed and released from the pressures of her husband.
As for her personality, I would imagine that she would hold a much more positive attitude towards’ life. She is already a widow now so there is no need to care of the social judgments and the gossips among the neighbor. She can go out to parties’ everyday and forget about house chores. If she is left with a fortune then there’d an even large variety of things to do.
Life without her husband might be a bit lonely ay first (maybe not at all), but I am sure it would be a much colorful one!

If Mrs. Mallard were a widow, she may not really know what she wants to do most in the very beginning. She never makes decision by herself, so she looks around the area she lived in. She may follow what men do because anything only allows men to do. She would be criticized by any others who were conservative. She would not be controlled by what others said, though she may under enormous pleasure and depression. She lives on her own for a while, and she wants to find a job. But there are no one wants to give her a chance, only because she is a woman.

Later, she leaves the country where has many miserable memory. She reaches a place where no one teases a widow. Understanding to fight for her life, she works hard without men’s help. Finally, she becomes very successful and is famous as a business women owning every women’s admire. When she goes back her hometown, everyone shows respect on the independence woman.

She’ll not be bound by her husband or the society anymore. She no longer has to be who she is thought to be, and she can live for herself.
I’d like to make her be an engineer. Driving a train helps her to travel around just like a free bird in the sky. It’s what she’s chasing for- FREE. By the way, her husband is died from a train accident. She can also get satisfaction by recalling that her hideous husband was crashed by a train.

If the woman, Mrs. Mallard’s husband were actually dead, she would feel very joyful. As the essay written "free! Body and soul free, and she would live for herself; there would be no one to live for her during those coming years.
But is it really true that she could do anything she wants to do after her husband dead? I don’t think so, in my opinion, that century is so traditional that in people concept would not allowed woman do whatever she wanted to do, If she were a widow, people might look down her, and they might force her to live in house, if she persist to go outside and done as free man could done, people might against her, not let her do the man could do, not because any others reason, just because she is a woman! Woman have no right to do the free man could do at that tim

If Mrs. Mallard was a widow in the story, I think she would strive to pursuit what she truly wants to do. Maybe her husband left a big sum of indemnities and she could make free with all of the money. She could keep a young, handsome and strong man to accompany her, or she could keep more than one man, after all, she has a big sum of money. With the money, she can live the rest of her life without a worry.

If Mrs. Mallard's husband was dead and Mrs. Mallard became a widow with lots of money, I think she will start her noble life and live a happy life ever after. I have arranged the schedule what she can do in a day. First, she can sleep until she really want to get up, then she can have a graceful brunch. After the meal, she can take a slow walk to the park, and read the books beneath the comfortable sunshine. Next, she can invite her good friends for the afternoon tea time. They can spend all the afternoon to chat with each others. In the evening, she can enjoy a luxury meal in the high-class restaurant. After that, she can see an wonderful opera in the theater. Finally, she goes back to home, enjoy the bubble bath spa and end the fantastic day.

Mrs. Mallard finally release from a fellow-creature, she can live for her own life. She can do anything she wants and try anything she couldn’t. She doesn’t need to waste her time in the daily housework and take her husband’s opinion at first. Maybe just taking the whole evening reading a book she loves, or going to travel around for a week even longer. Finding a job to support her own life. It’s hard to imagine how bored her life is with her husband. “Free! Body and soul free!” How joyful she was.
